JOB SUMMARY LIVIC Civil is looking to fill a full-time Senior Bridge Project Engineer position for our growing bridge department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on PennDOT and municipal owned bridge projects, be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff assisting with planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects, such as the inspection, load rating and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated. Key Responsibilities: • Participate in the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated. • Participate in the production of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates. • Be involved in all project aspects including inspection/load-rating/design, site/field visits during construction, shop drawing review, and be able to work independently. • Efficiently produce quality deliverables while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. • Ability to supervise and mentor entry level staff and be responsible for entry level staff job tasks. • Ability to provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection reports, and load rating calculations and reports etc. PATHWAYS FOR GROWTH At LIVIC, we value ambition and the unique strengths each team member brings. QUALIFICATIONS Required: Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or Associates Degree with 15+ years of experience in similar role Professional Engineer License (in PA or ability to obtain through reciprocity entity within 6 month). 8-10+ years of Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation Design, Inspection, and Load Rating experience Experience working with PennDOT's accepted LRFD and structural analysis engineering program AutoCADD (C3D) and proficiency in OpenRoads/OpenBridge Design Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel Excellent Verbal and written communication skills Must be flexible, well organized, accountable, and dependable. Authorized to work in the United States Preferred: Certified Bridge Safety Inspector is a plus Familiarity with ABC (Accelerated Bridge Construction) techniques Experience with complex bridge structures, seismic design, and rehabilitation projects Knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering principles Proposal development and business development experience Travel to other offices as needed LOCATIONS • Harrisburg, PA • Northumberland, PA • Bloomsburg, PA • Montoursville, PA WHY LIVIC?
