You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of professionalism and guest satisfaction while effectively managing the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms. Key Responsibilities: Follow banquet-specific instructions including checklists, contracts, and room layouts Oversee and verify all initial set-up procedures Organize the service order to ensure smooth operations Warmly welcome hosts and all guests Accommodate special requests from hosts to enhance their experience Time each course effectively to guarantee smooth service Demonstrate proficiency in server and bartender roles Conduct pre- and post-event inventory checks of beverages Prepare ingredients and mixed drinks following established recipes Lead banquet staff, fostering a spirit of teamwork Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and colleagues Complete assigned side work diligently Share promotional information with guests as needed Accurately track and record all orders served Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently Maintain a smoke-free environment during shifts Seek managerial approval for any comped or voided orders Inform guests about auto-gratuity policies Manage multiple responsibilities effectively Operate calmly under pressure Exhibit patience and courtesy towards guests Follow standard operating procedures to ensure top-notch service Oversee all cleanup and closing duties Ensure proper storage of any leftover food Accurately balance all sales and receipts Complete financial checkouts according to set procedures Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of full-service banquet experience or equivalent is required. After training, successful candidates must pass an English exam with at least 90% proficiency in the following areas: Menu and specials Wine selections Liquor offerings and specialty drinks Understanding of Liquor Liability laws Accounting procedures Layouts of the restaurant and banquet rooms Orientation materials specific to the restaurant, including rules and philosophies We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
