Cytogenetics Technologist in North Carolina

Job Title: Cytogenetic Technologist Location: Charlotte, NC Schedule: Sun - 8:00am - 5:30pm, Mon - Wed 10:30am - 9:00pm, Rotating Holidays Pay Rate: $33.05-$49.60 Sign-On Bonus: $5k ($2500 at 90 days and $2500 at 1 year) Relocation Assistance: $4k within 45 days Job Description: Perform sample set up, harvesting, slide preparation, staining, microscopic analysis, photography, karyotyping, and FISH analysis. Assure specimen integrity throughout processing. Culture blood, bone marrow, and biopsy samples, monitor growth levels, and perform culturing procedures. Prepare slides and utilize various staining techniques. Analyze specimens microscopically and operate automated karyotyping equipment. Conduct FISH processing and analysis. Maintain record-keeping, stock supply levels, and lab procedures. Coordinate with lab personnel, manage quality control, and stay updated on cytogenetics research. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor s degree in any Life Science. Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or Technologist in Cytogenetics (ASCP) required. CG(ASCP) certification required.
