Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details:• Specialize in plastic surgery post-anesthesia care unit with recovery of general anesthesia patients• Patient ratio of 2:1 for optimal care delivery• No weekends or holidays required• Work with adolescent and adult patient populations• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)• Epic charting system experience preferred• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required• Charge experience preferred• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred• Provide direct and indirect patient care utilizing comprehensive nursing process• Perform medication administration, therapeutic treatments, and patient education• Document patient encounters in electronic medical record (EMR)• Conduct patient assessments, triage, and discharge planning• Manage conscious sedation, airway assessment, and pain management• Handle pre and post-operative procedures including consent and education• Monitor patients recovering from procedures including abdominoplasty and breast augmentation• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing• Complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 1-5 hours Facility:This outpatient surgery center specializes in plastic surgery procedures and provides comprehensive post-anesthesia care services.
