Details Float pool position covering Med/Surg, Trauma, Oncology, Heart and Vascular, Neuro, Medicine, and COVID units Some units operate under a primary nursing model May be required to float to other approved facilities within the health system when not needed at the primary location Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30) Every other weekend required Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week Epic EMR experience required for certain units Requirements Active IL RN license required; candidates with a pending IL license may be considered with notation Active MO RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Chemo, CCRN, NIH Stroke Scale, ONS, TNCC, and CPI certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required IV insertion skills required Triage and telemetry skills preferred First-time travelers will not be considered Additional Information Strong, independent nursing skills are essential given the multi-unit float pool environment Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID #P-685974.
