Registered Nurse (RN) | Home Health Location: Chapel Hill, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,180 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: One year of nursing experience caring for acute and chronically ill patients. License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing. Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Evaluates the developmental level of patients and factors affecting their ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance as needed in the revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussions with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluating patient care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Performs bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan. Utilizes organizational and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care. Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient and family needs. Consults with appropriate resources in a timely manner regarding patients with complex care issues, unusual teaching needs, and those at high risk for discharge planning. Develops goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations with assistance. Achieves goals and objectives within the identified time frame or renegotiates with the supervisor. Is knowledgeable about activities that facilitate collaboration between departments. Participates in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities. Effectively uses communication systems. Participates in promoting cost-effective care. Provides feedback to co-workers. Is aware of public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting the healthcare environment. Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for all. Recognizes data from complex situations to determine priorities for care. Includes appropriate physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs in assessments. Synthesizes assessment data into meaningful information before communication with others. Assesses and anticipates discharge needs of individual patients and families. Develops relationships with families that promote their ability to advocate for themselves and their loved ones. Collaborates with patients and families to prepare or update the plan of care. Utilizes available multidisciplinary resources in planning care. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex issues. Reads journals that contain studies or articles applicable to practice. Participates in discussions about the applicability of ideas and questions raised.
