Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Franklin, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,092 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: MS, PCU, Tele, or CCU experience Description: - This unit has 34 beds. - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during daytime shifts and 1:6 at night. - The required certifications include BLS and NIHSS. - Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, orthopedic surgeries (shoulders, hips, knees), appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, bowel resection, and pancreatitis. - Nurses are not required to titrate drips. - Common titratable and/or set rate drips include heparin per protocol. - A charge nurse is available on both shifts. - A supervisor is available during the night shift. - Patient care technicians are present on both shifts with a maximum ratio of 1:12. - Equipment used includes chronic BiPAP and CPAP. - Remote monitoring for telemetry is in place, and monitor technicians provide analysis. - Registered nurses are not responsible for interpretation of telemetry strips. - Shifts are self-scheduled as appropriate, variable based on census and staffing availability. - Weekend rotation requires 4 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule, based on staffing. - Holiday rotations are based on the calendar. - If a shift is canceled, nurses may be placed on call with a 45-minute return notification policy. - Nurses may float within medical-surgical scope of practice. - Scrub color is navy blue. - The charting system used is Cerner.
