The E4 Cardiology Telemetry unit is a 28-bed facility and acts as the central cardiac monitoring site for inpatient care. JOB SUMMARY As an RN in our cardiology unit, you will demonstrate clinical competence through the nursing process while fostering a positive nurse-patient relationship. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing treatments, and evaluating outcomes. Qualifications Graduate of a Nursing School; BSN preferred One year of RN experience or successful completion of the Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program; Two or more years of relevant experience preferred Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire; must pass dysrhythmia test within 3 months Must achieve an 80% score on the BKAT or complete a critical care course within one year of hire Willingness to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications We prioritize your career development and growth at Hartford HealthCare, where we offer exciting opportunities to thrive within an innovative organization that champions cutting-edge technologies, breakthrough treatments, and community education.
