The role centers on providing virtual consultations for patients enrolled in a GLP-1 Weight Management Program, focusing on safe and effective prescribing of GLP-1 medications within well-defined clinical protocols. Location: Based remotely with patients primarily in Texas, this position involves telehealth services, offering flexibility in work setting while serving those in the Frisco area and beyond. Position Type: Contract - 13-week contract to hire Schedule: Full-time: 40-50 hours per week Part-time: 25-30 hours per week (flexible based on candidate preference) Shift starts at 8:30 AM CST Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments to determine eligibility for GLP-1 therapy, reviewing medical history and contraindications. Prescribe and manage GLP-1 medication regimens following clinical guidelines, adapting treatment plans based on patient response. Provide patient education covering medication usage, dosing, potential side effects, and expected outcomes to ensure adherence and safety. Maintain detailed and compliant documentation within electronic health records while following HIPAA, state, and federal telehealth regulations. Identify and escalate complex or high-risk patients to the Clinical Director; instruct patients on emergency warning signs.
