This opportunity offers a remote Nurse Practitioner role focused on telehealth consultations within a GLP-1 Weight Management Program. The position operates under a 13-week contract-to-hire arrangement, providing flexibility and the potential for long-term engagement. Candidates will deliver protocol-driven, high-quality virtual care evaluating patients for GLP-1 therapy and managing medication prescribing safely and compliantly. Responsibilities: Conduct virtual patient evaluations via telehealth platforms, assessing medical history and eligibility for GLP-1 medication. Prescribe and adjust GLP-1 therapies based on clinical judgment and patient response. Educate patients on medication administration, dosing schedules, outcomes, and side effects to support adherence. Maintain thorough documentation in electronic health records with a focus on regulatory compliance. Identify and escalate high-risk or complex cases as needed, guiding patients on emergency protocols. Qualifications: Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas in good standing. Board certification as FNP, AGNP, or related specialty. DEA registration with prescriptive authority in Texas. Ability to prescribe GLP-1 medications in Texas. Telehealth experience preferred. Preferred Experience: Background in obesity medicine or metabolic health. Familiarity with GLP-1 medication protocols. Multistate licensure is a plus. Schedule: 1st shift starting at 8:30 AM CST. Full-time (40-50 hours) or part-time (25-30 hours) options available; scheduling is flexible based on candidate preference.
