HomeCare Telemonitoring RN Department: Office of Home Telemonitoring Hours: per diem Position Summary Reporting to the Manager of Special Programs and/or the Central Station Coordinator and is responsible for daily monitoring and appropriate intervention for patients who are receiving remote in-home monitoring of vital signs. Reviews data, triages phone calls, informs physicians and Primary Care Nurse of vital sign trends per established protocols to insure safe and appropriate patient care. Collects data and provides appropriate communication regarding potential admission and the clinical and financial resources needed to establish in-home telemonitoring. Minimum Qualifications: Level of knowledge normally required through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing. RN Licensure in the State of Connecticut. Must be proficient with a personal computer (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Access and Excel). At least one year of clinical nursing in telemetry or adult critical care. Must have the ability to interpret ECG rhythm strips. Previous experience with, or the ability to learn clinical information system. Excellent telephone communication skills.
