Job Details Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Nurse Location: Southlake, TX (76092) - main hospital with potential shifts at Coppell and North Richland Hills satellite ERs Assignment: 13-week travel assignment (Travel Nurse) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Shift: Night shift - 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:4 (typical ED nurse patient load) Orientation: 24 hours Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekends per 6-week period Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770 Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ED nurse, trauma nurse, or critical care background preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS, PALS (AHA preferred; military acceptable) Experience using Epic EMR / Epic charting system Community hospital and emergency department experience required Ability to assess and care for a diverse patient population: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care across multiple ER locations in a fast-paced emergency department environment Perform triage, comprehensive assessment, and treatment for a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, stroke/neuro, sepsis, and behavioral health emergencies Manage patients requiring advanced interventions such as arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, and procedural sedation Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to protocols Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social services Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR to support continuity of care and compliance Participate in ongoing training, complete required modules pre-start and during orientation, and maintain required certifications Adhere to infection control, isolation protocols, and ED safety procedures Apply now to join our Southlake emergency department team as a Night Shift ER RN.
