Responsible for the competent application of the nursing process. Supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Home visits and periodic office meetings are required. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Each type of visit and activity holds a different point value, and contractors will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Types of cases include start of care, wound care, and follow-up visits. The clinician will travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Clinicians are expected to accept every patient on their schedule regardless of distance. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Weekly productivity points of 30 are expected, equating to 40 hours per week. If not receiving enough patients, clinicians may have the opportunity to float to another nearby clinic to pick up patients. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
