A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity:Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)• 36 or 48 hours per week available• Patient ratio of 1:3-4• Every other weekend requirement• Floating required to sister ICCU unit as needed• No block scheduling allowed• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays• 24-hour orientation required with hospital orientation during week one• Must pass EKG testing prior to start• Scrubs: Navy, White or combination of both• Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required• Strong experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips required• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS• Must have experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management• Experience required with chest tubes, BIPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy management, central line care• Must be comfortable with blood product administration and IV insulin protocols• Experience with Epic charting system preferred• Care for patients ages adolescent through geriatric• Manage post rapid response patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, post-operative patients• Unit runs more like ICU with only one pressor drip per patient allowed Facility:This healthcare facility operates a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit that functions as an ICU stepdown unit, providing care for patients requiring close monitoring but not intensive care level interventions. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing, with comprehensive support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit specializes in managing patients with complex medical conditions including post-operative care, cardiovascular issues, and respiratory complications.
