Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Fairfield, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,506 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Clinical Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of three years of acute care and tele experience required License: Valid and current RN license by the State of California Certifications: Current AHA BLS required Must-Have: Previous travel experience required Description: The Clinical Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, quality nursing care. The RN utilizes nursing theories and models to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients. The RN determines the progress of patients towards their goals. A therapeutic professional relationship is established with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Care is provided with consideration of the patient's physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs. Supports the mission and values of the organization and strives for excellence. Competency is demonstrated through the consistent ability to apply scientific knowledge in nursing practice. Provides care consistent with the interdisciplinary plan of care. Assesses patient condition on an ongoing basis and formulates nursing diagnoses. Collaborates with clients to formulate care plans that ensure safety, comfort, hygiene, and disease prevention. Performs essential nursing skills and explains health treatments to patients and families. Teaches clients and families how to care for their health needs. Evaluates the care plan's effectiveness and modifies it as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications. Delegates tasks to care team members based on their scopes of practice. Acts as an advocate for clients to improve healthcare practices. Provides culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards. Coordinates patient care activities with the healthcare team. Utilizes effective communication skills for safe patient handoffs. Documents nursing care following organizational policies. Uses manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency. Accountable for meeting organizational goals related to patient satisfaction. Contributes to positive patient care experiences through interactions. Assists in resolving complaints to achieve immediate resolutions when possible. Investigates complaints and provides relevant information to management. Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
