Leidos QTC Medical Services, Inc., operating under the brand name Leidos QTC Health Services, is on the lookout for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner, ideally from Arkansas or nearby states. In this pivotal role, you will help deliver exceptional care to our service members, ensuring they receive the support they need. As a Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will include conducting various general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations. Key tasks include: Reviewing the examinee's medical history and associated records Interpreting clinical data Generating independent medical opinions and completing written reports Examinations may occur in different settings, including in-person clinics, the examinee's home, telehealth platforms, or large event settings associated with the Reserve Health Readiness Program. This role requires traveling a minimum of 70% of the time to provide physical examinations for veterans and service members across multiple locations throughout the country. All travel expenses are covered, and you will receive a per diem. Work Schedule and Expectations: Standard work hours are generally Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (between 8 AM and 5 PM), with occasional weekend or evening work depending on operational needs. Approximately 30% of your duties will involve telehealth services and administrative tasks when not traveling. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct physical exams for a variety of clients, including federal and defense personnel. Perform occupational health examinations, including pre- and post-employment assessments. Provide written medical opinions based on comprehensive reviews of provided medical records. Deliver telephonic and virtual exams. Work in unique examination settings such as homebound visits and event sites. Complete Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). Conduct primary medical evaluations, including reviews of systems, pap smears, and range of motion assessments. Interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests, pulmonary function tests, and ECGs. Document records accurately in appropriate systems. Collaborate with professional and clinical staff, communicating with internal and client teams to determine effective, evidence-based care strategies for examinees. Competencies: Exhibit compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to outstanding customer service for claimants. Possess the ability to thoroughly assess examinee health status using physical examinations. Demonstrate collaborative decision-making skills, centered on proactive, informed, and best-practice care standards. Utilize analytical skills to evaluate and provide medical opinions. Review and interpret standard clinical diagnostics effectively. Display technical competence with computers and tablets, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records. Be knowledgeable about workplace health and safety concepts. Required Qualifications: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution. Current national licensing with ANCC or AANP. At least 3 years of post-graduate experience in primary care or internal medicine. Unrestricted state medical licensure free from limitations to perform the full scope of practice. Ability to obtain a DEA license. Valid BLS or ACLS certification. Capability to maintain clinical training/certifications as required by existing and future contracts. Possess a current REAL ID-compliant identification or equivalent TSA-approved identification prior to the start date. Ability to obtain and maintain required government clearances (LARS, Public Trust, NACI, etc.). Satisfy medical clearance requirements, including passing an N95 respirator fit test, passing a Tuberculosis test, and receiving Hepatitis A and B vaccinations or titer tests as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in conducting occupational or disability medical examinations. Certification as an Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (COHN-S) from the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN).
