Job Description

The Shipping Clerk's role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our products to our customers on time and maintaining constant communication with Customer Service, Sales, Production, and Management related to such shipments. Responsibilities: Ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers throughout the USA, using LTL, FTL and flat-bed carriers on approved vendor list. Call carriers to schedule shipments, meeting ship dates Prepare accurate bills of lading and packing slips. Communicate with internal teams in various facilities related to transfers, material needs, and inventory levels Maintain relationships with freight carriers in order to support our logistics needs with respect to shipping our product to our customers all over the US Contact and negotiate with carriers to obtain quotes and services. Communicate frequently with customer service and planning department regarding shipping dates and status of orders. Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity tariff and customs regulations Manage in SAP all information related to transportation as quotes, carrier information, etc. Resolve all issues related with transportation and carriers Other duties as needed At least 1 year of related experience working in a shipping or transportation function for a manufacturer Bilingual in both English and Spanish required Previous experience working with a major ERP such as SAP. Previous exposure to working with a WMS software is preferred. At least intermediate level MS Excel (pivot tables, v look-up, create formulae, etc.) High level of integrity and reliability Professional communication skills and customer-focused approach to work. Ability and desire to work on-site in office 100% of the time, without hybrid/remote option. Ability and desire to come early and stay late until the job is done. Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
