Data QA Tester

Job Summary We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to support quality assurance efforts for an Enterprise Data Hub, with a focus on customer experience platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used in key initiatives such as customer retention, personalization, and enhanced customer journeys. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead end-to-end QA processes across multiple data-driven projects, from requirements through production release. Key Responsibilities Lead QA delivery across multiple concurrent data and analytics initiatives Participate early in the SDLC to review requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and define test strategies Design and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and validation scripts for data platforms and business logic Perform end-to-end validation of complex data pipelines, segmentation logic, and customer classification rules Validate critical customer experience functions such as promotion eligibility, personalized offers, churn-risk scoring, and support recommendations Test data integrations involving customer accounts, billing, promotions, and behavioral interaction data Validate complex scenarios including promotion expiration, billing impacts, service routing, and recommendation engines Manage defects using JIRA, including creation, triage, tracking, and reporting Provide clear and structured QA updates to stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently Required Qualifications 6+ years of QA testing experience with a strong focus on data testing At least 3+ years of experience in data testing (ETL, validation, or similar) Strong expertise in SQL for data validation, profiling, and complex querying Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and reporting Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash Proven ability to test complex data logic, segmentation models, and business rules Experience working across the full project lifecycle from requirements to release Ability to independently manage and lead testing processes across multiple initiatives Preferred Qualifications Experience with big data technologies such as Scala, Spark, or Hadoop Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments or customer experience platforms
