Description Westaff is hiring Shipping and Receiving Associate in Middleton, MA Benefits to our Westaff Associates: Medical Dental Vision Retirement Savings Plan FREE Online training WEEKLY PAY Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm $18.50 Responsibilities of the Shipping and Receiving Associate: Responsible for picking and packing daily outgoing product. They are an integral part of the Operations team and work closely with the Warehouse Manager and team, making sure that all orders are processed and shipped correctly and efficiently. The shipping and logistics associate will be accountable for picking, packing, and shipping orders as well as assisting with receiving/inventory control in times of need. Picks, packages and ships orders accurately and maintains appropriate records Follows through with outbound shipments, carrier setup and loading of appropriate carriers Organizes stock and contributes to maintaining inventory Inspects products for defects and damages Examines incoming and outgoing shipments Organizes warehouse space Checks, verifies and fills customer invoices Requests POs for maintaining shipping supplies in shipping area Assists with Receiving and helps log incoming RMAs and materials Operates pallet jack and Bendi (Narrow Aisle Forklift) as needed Abides by all company safety regulations Contributes ideas on ways to improve and optimize warehousing procedures Keeps warehouse clean and organized daily JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required 1 to 3 years warehouse experience Working knowledge of shipping/ receiving best practices Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system Team player with strong organizational skill picking packing and potentially some parcel ( UPS, FedEx, etc) shipping
