Job Details Location: Geneva, New York (14456) Position: Acute Registered Nurse / Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse (Travel) Contract Duration: 16 weeks Employment Type: Travel, Full-Time Hours: 4 x 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week), Monday-Friday Shift: 6:30am/7:30am-3:30pm/4:30pm On-Call: 1 day on-call/week (Mon-Thurs) plus 3 on-call weekends every 4-6 weeks (Fri-Mon) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250-$2,370/week Required Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience; perioperative/circulator experience required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or RQI) NIH Stroke Scale certification Ability to float to units as needed Responsibilities (Operating Room / Periop) Circulate for a variety of service lines including Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT (pediatric), GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry Assess patient needs, develop individualized perioperative care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Provide direct patient care, monitor intraoperative progress, and coordinate care across the patient episode Educate patients and families on postoperative self-care and discharge instructions Promote a healing environment, advocate for patient safety, and maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards Document nursing care, patient education, and family responses accurately in the medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development to enhance perioperative practice Preferred Skills Experience with orthopedic cases and complex general surgery Strong communication skills and teamwork in fast-paced OR settings Familiarity with electronic health record documentation in perioperative environments Benefits & Travel Nurse Perks Competitive travel RN compensation and weekly pay structure Professional development and opportunities to gain diverse surgical experience Apply now: If you're an experienced Operating Room RN or perioperative Registered Nurse with circulator experience and an active NY RN license, we encourage you to apply.
