Job Summary This role involves general custodial duties and sanitation of the warehouse under general supervision. You will carry out all tasks safely, accurately, and in line with productivity goals. Responsibilities Perform various custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, washing, wiping, scrubbing, and mopping throughout the facility. Climbing ladders may be necessary. Ensure sanitary conditions by collecting and disposing of all trash and debris daily and cleaning up spills. Clean cooler areas, including floors, dry warehouse, all aisles, and equipment mezzanine. Scrub floors in all warehouse areas and docks to maintain cleanliness. Use power equipment for floor care in assigned areas. Keep parking lots and sidewalks tidy on a weekly basis or as required. Remove hazardous materials such as nails and glass from the property. Maintain a daily sanitation log for documentation. Support recycling efforts by transporting materials to balers and managing waste responsibly. Dust and vacuum warehouse racks regularly. Remove cobwebs to uphold cleanliness. Clean restrooms as needed, ensuring they are sanitary and well-stocked. Work closely with supervisors to minimize product loss. Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas. Accurately maintain warehouse product locations during cleaning tasks. Report immediately any unsafe conditions or equipment issues. Adhere to all safety guidelines to reduce accidents and injuries. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Ensure material handling equipment is inspected daily and kept clean, reporting any repair needs. Comply with all company policies and applicable laws. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience. Experience 1 year of experience in a warehouse or related field. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and pay attention to detail. Language Skills Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence. Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with team members. Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic mathematical operations. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and address standard situations. Physical Demands This role requires meeting certain physical demands to successfully perform essential functions. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and rarely over 51 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for the job. Work Environment This is a full-time position with varying shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment. Exposure to fast-moving equipment and various environmental conditions, including freezer/cooler areas. Occasional exposure to wet conditions, high places, weather elements, and loud noise levels.
