Position: Forklift Operation II Location: Kenosha, WI Duration: 2+ Month Contract Shift: 2nd Shift Mon-Fri 3:45pm-12:15am, OT as needed including possibly Saturday Job Description: Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsible for operating a power industrial truck to transport material within the facility. The role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and computers. Responsibilities: Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments. Picks and stages orders for shipping Load, unload, put away, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment. Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments. Learns to use handheld RF scanners and the Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders. Maintains inventory accuracy. Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound. Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations. Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand. Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, dock stocker and powered pallet jacks. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation. Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds. Performs activities to evaluate and maintain equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Proficiency in operating industrial forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including stand up reach and order picker Experience with RF equipment for transporting, receiving and loading functions Preferred Requirements: Experience operating Reach, Order Picker and Walkie Rider High school diploma or GED 1 year of proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment Possess Full knowledge of all functions within own area. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Certification in operating various type of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus.
