We are the right place for you.Custom Cylinders, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our skilled team of assemblers. This position will be responsible for completing a variety of different assembly tasks using different tools and fixtures as needed. An ideal candidate for this role should pay strong attention to detail, is committed to workplace safety, comfortable working in a team environment and is focused on delivering high quality work for our customers.Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:Inspect and clean components prior to assembling themConfirm that the types and quantities of components provided for the job match those listed in the paperwork provided with the assembly jobSetup and operate drill presses, vices, fixtures and other types of equipment required for each assembly jobRead and follow assembly instructionsEffectively communicate with team members and supervisorsIdentify any parts that are not correct and notify a supervisorPerform final testing of finished parts prior to packaging for shipmentEnsure that any and all excess or unused parts are returned to the appropriate locations (inventory, quality, etc.)Maintain a clean and orderly work areaSupport the efficient operation of Custom Cylinders.Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredTwo years prior experience in assemblyFluent in EnglishAbility to read drawings and assembly instructionsAbility to lift boxes up to 40lbs as neededAbility to handle and manipulate small parts
