About Our Dayton Site: At TDI, we have over 40 years of leadership in designing and manufacturing turbine-powered start systems and more than 60 years in turbine air motors. Our Dayton, OH location is part of Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, and is at the forefront of developing next-generation Air Turbine Starters. We also produce Surface Coolers and Bellows to support the aerospace sector. Position Overview: As an Associate Assembler, you will handle essential assembly tasks for turbine air starters and remanufactured assemblies. Your responsibilities will include: Assembling industrial subcomponents Utilizing pneumatic tools and hand tools like pliers, wrenches, and hammers Reviewing and following assembly routers, procedures, and specifications accurately Taking apart Industrial Starters Applying paint to industrial equipment Completing necessary paperwork accurately Producing error-free products through thorough inspections Aiming to meet and exceed production goals Adapting to different assembly focus areas based on demand Adhering to Lean Manufacturing standards Collaborating effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision Engaging in general housekeeping practices (5S) Taking on additional assigned duties as needed Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or GED with 6 months of manufacturing experience or equivalent education and experience Preferred: Previous assembly or disassembly experience, ability to read blueprints and work instructions, attention to detail, and compliance with GE policies Additional Information: Pay Rate: $20.10 Additional 10% Shift Differential for 3rd shift! This role requires standing for 6 to 8 hours a day and performing tasks that may involve lifting/moving up to 35 pounds with assistance for heavier items. The work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, approved chemicals, and moderate noise levels.
