Vacancy Name Assembler Vacancy No VN788 Employment Type Full-Time ShiftDuration (if temporary)Location Country United States Location State Michigan Location City Three Rivers Description The Assembler is responsible for assembling cast iron steam traps according to precise specifications, ensuring all components are correctly fitted, sealed, and tested to meet Armstrong's high standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities • Assemble cast iron steam traps using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. • Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. • Inspect castings and components for defects or irregularities prior to assembly. • Perform torquing, sealing, and fitting of internal components, such as valve seats, floats, thermostatic elements, and covers. • Ensure assemblies meet required pressure and leak testing standards (e.g., hydrostatic or air testing) • Maintain accurate production records, including assembly checklists and quality control documentation. • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE when handling heavy components or operating machinery. • Collaborate with quality control, engineering, and maintenance teams to address production or quality issues. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. • Willingness to learn or train in the position. • Must have the physical and mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment. • Other duties as assigned and not limited to just the above.
