Job Type Full-time, Part-time Description HBD is looking for qualified and caring Direct Support Professionals to join our team! We have 9 locations throughout Broward County, Florida that provides residential and day services for adults and teens with intellectual disabilities and intensive behavior challenges. Responsibilities: Supervision and support to ensure health and safety Skill training and support in daily living activities Community integration Behavioral interventions and implementation Assist individuals on medical appointments Medication dispensing Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401k Educational opportunity to become a RBT ( Registered Behavior Technician) Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Holidays Night shift Overtime Weekend availability Job Types: Full-time, Part-time RequirementsOne year experience providing direct services in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, child care setting OR working with persons who have developmental disabilities required High school diploma/GED required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, reach, bend, and squat Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to other locations Strong verbal and written communication skills a must Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) a plus Bilingual (Spanish, Creole) a plus Salary Description $18.00/hour
