The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, compassionate, and team-oriented, with a passion for delivering an elevated patient experience while growing alongside the NMDE team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough dental cleanings, preliminary exams, and new patient assessments, including comprehensive health historiesTake and interpret dental radiographs; capture intraoral and extraoral photos for documentation and treatment planningApply fluoride treatments and assist dentists during exams and proceduresEducate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendationsMaintain accurate patient records and update health historiesEnsure operatory readiness, instrument sterility, and compliance with infection control and safety protocolsAddress patient concerns and questions related to dental healthSupport smooth patient flow and appointment management within the officeTeam SupportParticipate in daily morning huddles to review schedules and coordinate patient careEnter accurate and complete treatment plans for review and presentationCoordinate doctor flow between operatories to maximize efficiency and minimize downtimeSupport doctors in patient education to encourage case acceptanceProvide professional patient handoffs to doctors, treatment coordinators, and front office staffCollaborate with team members to improve workflows, resolve issues, and advance office goalsUphold and model the office’s mission, vision, and valuesQualificationsValid Dental Hygienist licensureDegree in dental hygiene from an accredited universityAt least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygieneStrong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelinesActive CPR CertificationExcellent communication and customer service skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational abilitiesProficient in dental software and technology
