E-6 (Petty Officer First Class): State-licensed Dental Hygienists may qualify for this higher paygrade, with an earning potential of up to $116,000 annually. Responsibilities You will assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate preventive and therapeutic dental care under the supervision of a Navy Dental Officer, including: Performing periodontal therapy, such as scaling and root planing. Taking, processing, and interpreting dental radiographs. Applying fluoride, sealants, and other preventive treatments. Providing essential oral health education to patients. Documenting patient care and treatment outcomes meticulously. Maintaining high standards of infection control and supporting clinical quality assurance.
