Dental Hygienist Location: Toledo, OH 43623 Pay Range: $42-$50/hour Position Overview We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a large, modern practice environment that prioritizes patient experience and clinical excellence. This position supports quality care, detailed documentation, and a strong preventive model. Hygienists have opportunities for professional growth through a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team. Appointment Model / Practice Notes 50-minute appointments High new patient exam volume Large office environment Schedule Monday: 7:30am - 8:00pm (one late shift per week; long days are split shifts) Tuesday: 7:30am - 8:00pm Wednesday: 7:30am - 5:00pm Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm Friday: 7:30am - 2:30pm Saturday: 7:30am - 12:00pm (rotating coverage; approximately 3-4 Saturdays per year) Responsibilities Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust with patients Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints Take x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress/changes Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed Provide clear instructions for at-home care and ongoing oral health maintenance Qualifications Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Ohio Current CPR/BLS certification Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation Any additional certification or license required by the state to perform assigned duties Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly compensation within the posted range Quarterly bonus opportunity based on individual performance Flexible health and vision insurance plan options 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Generous paid time off: accrue up to 3 weeks, plus an annual personal "you" day Hygiene Executive Committee: annual committee composed of top-performing hygienists In-house dental program with heavily discounted services for employees and immediate family members Annual scrub allowance through uniform partners Additional perks and fringe benefits All benefits are available at full-time employment (30+ hours weekly).
