Job DescriptionJoin a prestigious hospital's anesthesiology team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) on a locum tenens assignment. This role involves delivering high-quality anesthesia care for adult and a limited pediatric population in a Level 1 trauma center. Candidates can enjoy flexible day shifts without any on-call or weekend duties, and you will work under supervision, managing a range of surgical cases. Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Hospital- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: Varied day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours); Monday to Friday- Patient Population: Adult and limited pediatric- Location: Detroit, MI Benefits- Weekly direct deposit- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage- Supportive credentialing assistance- Lodging and mileage reimbursement- Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities- Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC.- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and perioperative staff.- Provide preoperative assessments and patient education.- Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.- Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia.- Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team.- Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in EMR systems.- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications- NBCRNA Board Certification- Active Michigan RN License- BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications (AHA)- Clean malpractice/license history- Not accepting new graduates Working Hours- Varied day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours)- No on-call or weekend requirements Skills- Strong collaboration and communication skills- Proficiency with EMR systems- Expertise in ventilation management and anesthesia- Ability to respond adeptly to patient emergencies
