Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) York Hospital (Hospital-based, Full-time Contract)Pay: $240/hr $250/hr Start Date: May 10 Contract Length: Until end of approval Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days (expedited credentialing possible with leadership approval; temporary coverage available with clean file)Overall Job Description Join the anesthesia team at York Hospital (593 beds, Level I Trauma) as a CRNA providing medically directed anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical and procedural areas. You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and specialty clinicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to all ages and acuity levels in both OR and NORA locations.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide safe, effective anesthesia care (GETA, MAC, spinal, epidural) across diverse surgical specialties including Trauma, Neuro & Spine, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, OB/GYN, General Surgery, GI, Pediatrics, Plastics, Orthopedics, and Robotics.Practice medically directed model: 1:3 (max 1:4) physician oversight.Manage preoperative assessment, induction, maintenance, emergence, and postoperative handoff.Perform regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided techniques as applicable (note: CRNAs do not perform peripheral nerve blocks at this facility; epidurals performed without physician present).Document care in Epic EMR and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Participate in variable daily assignments and staffing as required for full-time coverage.Working Hours / Shift DetailsTypical shifts vary by assignment: (Monday Friday).Additional coverage required: Saturday/Sunday nights (7p 7a).Schedule: 4 5 ten-hour shifts per week (full-time coverage expected; monthly coverage required).Required SkillsGeneral Endotracheal Tube Anesthesia (GETA)Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC)Spinal anesthesia and epidural managementRegional anesthesia knowledge and ultrasound-guided techniques (US)Strong perioperative assessment, airway management, and hemodynamic management skillsProficient documentation in Epic EMRAbility to manage complex, high-acuity patients across specialtiesQualifications / RequirementsCertification: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)License: Pennsylvania (PA) nursing license requiredDEA: Not requiredCertifications: ACLS and PALS requiredMinimum Experience: 2 years preferredAbility to work in a medically directed model (1:3, up to 1:4)Comfortable with trauma and high-acuity cases; experience in cardiac, neuro/spine, thoracic, vascular and pediatrics highly desirableAdditional DetailsPatient population: all agesPatients per day: varies by anesthetizing location and assignmentPractice Setting: Hospital (Level I Trauma)EMR: Epic Expedited credentialing may be possible.
