Job Description: The Manufacturing Worker II is responsible for performing skilled assembly and installation tasks on commercial HVAC units with minimal supervision. This role supports production goals by ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in the manufacturing process. The position requires a solid understanding of assembly procedures, safety standards, and the ability to assist in training or guiding less experienced team members. Manufacturing Worker II contributes to AAON's commitment to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement in HVAC manufacturing. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: • Assemble and install complex sub-assemblies and components on HVAC units according to detailed specifications and work instructions. • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and production documents to verify part requirements and ensure proper assembly. • Perform quality checks and troubleshoot assembly issues to ensure compliance with standards. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve production challenges. • Assist in training and mentoring entry-level workers to promote skill development and team efficiency. • Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any discrepancies or issues. • Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and efficiently. • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards. • Performs other duties as assigned. Specific tasks may include: • Installing electrical wiring, insulation, or ductwork • Performing precision measurements and adjustments • Assisting with equipment setup or changeovers • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Technical training or certification in manufacturing processes preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Effective communication and problem-solving skills • Basic math and measurement skills • Knowledge of safety procedures and manufacturing best practices Essential Mental and Physical Functions: This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Workers must be able to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy. • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and walking throughout the shift • Use of hands and arms for assembly, tool handling, and material movement • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and consistency • Visual acuity to inspect parts and read instructions Work Environment: Manufacturing Worker II operates in a dynamic production facility where safety, quality, and efficiency are top priorities.
