Job Title: Assembler Job Description Join a world-class leader in designing, building, and manufacturing aerospace structures, systems, and components for a diverse range of aerospace customers. As an assembler, you will perform tasks such as drilling and deburring parts, attaching ground studs, nut plates, bonding, and assembling component parts. You will utilize hand and pneumatic tools, measuring tools like micrometers and calipers, and work with aerospace blueprints and schematics. This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical experience, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn. Responsibilities Perform pre-assembly tasks such as drilling and deburring parts. Assemble component parts, including attaching parts together by installing ground studs and nut plates. Utilize hand and pneumatic tools for assembly tasks. Use measuring tools like micrometers and calipers. Rivet and countersink parts as required. Work from aerospace blueprints and schematics. Essential Skills 1-2 years of sheet metal assembly experience. Proficiency with calipers and micrometers. Ability to interpret blueprints. Skills in riveting and countersinking. Hands-on experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior aerospace assembly experience. Mechanical inclination with experience using measuring tools like shim gauges and height gauges. Effective communication skills. Ability to read and understand work instructions and blueprints. Work Environment Work in a clean manufacturing shop that focuses on steel and sheet metal parts for aerospace applications. The environment can be heavy and loud but remains organized. Shifts primarily run from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional adjustments to start times as early as 5:00 AM. Volunteers are welcome for Saturday shifts, while the plant is closed on Sundays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
