Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Manager The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, staffing, and safety compliance. This position plays a key leadership role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring accuracy and quality, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on leader with strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure productivity and accuracy. Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency. Ensure all materials, products, and inventory are handled and stored properly to maintain quality standards. Monitor and manage inventory levels; coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational metrics such as accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Schedule and manage staffing levels to meet fluctuating workload demands. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and that preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Partner with leadership to forecast operational needs and develop process improvements. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction. Required Skills and Abilities Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations. Hands-on, proactive approach to daily operations. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 57 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or logistics operations. Demonstrated success leading teams of 10+ in a production, warehouse, or distribution setting. Experience implementing process improvements and performance metrics (Lean or Six Sigma experience a plus). Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or working on warehouse floor. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. May require occasional travel between facilities or to vendor locations.
