Cytotechnologist Specialized Diagnostic Laboratory Location: Greater Nashville Area, TN Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (No Weekends)Type: On-Site / Full-Time The OpportunityJoin a high-precision diagnostic team in one of the fastest-growing healthcare hubs in the country. We are seeking a detail-oriented Cytotechnologist (CT ASCP) to play a critical role in early disease detection and patient care. This position offers a stable, daytime schedule in a professional laboratory environment that values accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement. The RoleYou will be responsible for the microscopic examination of gynecological and non-gynecological cellular samples. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by identifying pre-malignant and malignant conditions through meticulous slide analysis. Core Responsibilities Microscopic Analysis: Examine clinical slides daily in accordance with established department protocols and productivity guidelines. Data Integrity: Record findings accurately in the laboratory information system and maintain all required departmental logs. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may impact test performance or the reporting of patient results. Operational Support: Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot methodologies to ensure peak lab performance. Quality Assurance: Actively participate in the documentation and maintenance of the department s QA/QC programs. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all laboratory safety precautions, HIPAA regulations, and corporate privacy policies to protect sensitive patient data. Qualifications Education: Graduation from an approved School of Cytotechnology (Minimum 2 years of college). Licensure: Must hold an active Tennessee Cytotechnologist License. Certification: National certification by the ASCP as a Cytotechnologist is required. Experience: At least one (1) year of experience screening both gynecological and non-gynecological slides is preferred.
