Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Fabrication Support team member to support daily material movement and production operations across multiple departments, including Saw, Fabrication (Fab), and Welding (Weld). This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials are accurately received, labeled, staged, and delivered to keep production running efficiently and safely. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support material handling operations across the Saw, Fabrication, and Weld departments Perform daily safety inspections of department forklifts and complete required paperwork Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved Compare identifying information; count, weigh, or measure materials moving in and out of departments Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift Safely operate industrial forklifts or electric hoists to move materials and products Attach identifying tags or labels to materials and mark containers as required Pack, unpack, and inspect incoming and outgoing products Reject damaged items, record shortages, and communicate issues to the appropriate department manager Unload incoming sheet steel and verify weight and material type against purchase orders Print and apply labels, locate materials, and mark material using colorcode charts Locate components for production use Assist with assembly or helper functions as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Other duties may be assigned Qualifications Ability to perform all essential job duties safely and accurately Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment Willingness to support multiple departments and adapt to changing production needs Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required One to three months of related experience or training preferred Previous forklift operation experience required Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator's license Language Skills Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and operating procedures Ability to write basic correspondence Ability to communicate effectively oneonone with other employees Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions Ability to solve problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations Ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced manufacturing environment Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Frequent use of hands for handling materials Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 80 lbs Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles Occasionally exposed to high places and outdoor weather conditions Moderate noise level in the work environment Apply today on Indeed to join a handson manufacturing team supporting multiple production departments.
