Warehouse Worker

Warehouse Worker Mesher Supply is a family owned plumbing wholesale company that has been serving plumbing and mechanical contractors since 1918. We are currently seeking a qualified, hardworking individual for a full-time warehouse worker position at our Portland location. Essential functions/major duties: Pull material to complete orders Pull material to complete branch transfers Inventory control, including material counts on demand, filling stock bins, notifying purchasing agent of low stock Unloading of freight trucks Put away freight and other incoming material Forklift driving Keep pipe yard clean and orderly General cleaning, including emptying garbage cans, keeping aisles swept and tidy, work area clean and clear of debris Able to speak, read, write and understand English to effectively fulfill job duties. Able to answer verbal and visual directions. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. No supervisory responsibility. Interpersonal contacts: Constant interaction with customers and co-workers throughout the day Contacts are generally 70% face-to-face, 20% on the phone, and 10% via email Most interactions are routine and information is easily communicated Specific job skills: Forklift certification Ability to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent Plumbing parts knowledge preferred but not required Good communication skills, attention to details and excellent customer service skills are a must Benefits: Medical Vision Life Dental 401K plan with employer contribution Holiday pay PTO Career advancement opportunities Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
