Caregiver In-Home Senior Care (Sunday Availability Required) Senior Helpers South Tacoma is actively seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers who are available to work Sundays. Weekend coverage is critical for our clients, and Sunday availability is a high priority for our team. If you are reliable and able to work Sundays consistently, we would love to hear from you. As a caregiver, you will provide one-on-one support that allows seniors to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. Our caregivers provide individualized care that allows them to build genuine connections with the seniors they serve. We strongly encourage Washington State Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to apply. If you already have your certification and experience providing in-home care, we would love to hear from you. We also welcome applicants who are currently enrolled in a CNA or HCA training program and will be certified soon. As a caregiver with Senior Helpers, your work may include: Building meaningful relationships through conversation and companionship Assisting with activities of daily living such as dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene Supporting light housekeeping and meal preparation Engaging clients in hobbies and recreational activities Observing and reporting changes in client condition Accompanying clients to appointments, grocery shopping, and community outings Accurate documentation is an essential part of providing safe, high-quality care. Caregivers are required to complete detailed shift notes in our caregiving app at the end of every visit, documenting the care provided, the client's condition, and any changes observed. Clear documentation ensures continuity of care between caregivers and helps keep families and the care team informed. Caregivers who take pride in thorough documentation and professional communication are highly valued on our team. To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine heart for caregiving and a strong commitment to reliability, especially for weekend care. Must be at least 18 years old Must be available to work Sundays (consistent Sunday availability required) Current HCA or CNA certification preferred At least one year of caregiving experience preferred Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record At least two satisfactory references from previous employers Must have a reliable cell phone and be comfortable using caregiving apps for scheduling, care plans, clock-in/out, and documentation Must be able to write clear and accurate documentation in English Ability to read and follow written instructions Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening Reliability is essential in this role.
