Warehouse Worker The primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This position involves maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that all stock is properly stored and accounted for. Responsibilities: Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. Essential Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team and attention to detail. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, such as Material Handler. Why Work Here? Work Environment: This position operates in a warehouse setting with a work schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to engage in physical activities, including the use of cherry pickers, inventory management, and material handling. The work environment emphasizes safety and efficiency. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
