Job Description

Warehouse Manager Manages and coordinates all warehouse activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that improve the effectiveness and financial performance of the supply chain. Directly supervises six employees within the six department(s). Indirectly supervises 30 employees within one department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent. At least four years of related experience or equivalent. Strong inventory control skills. Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. Knowledge of operating forklift, order selector, pallet jack, tow motor, pull cart, ladder, telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, and Microsoft Office software. Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Proven leadership and business acumen skills. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Bilingual skills are a plus. Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions. Ability to perform the physical labor necessary. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. Managing People--Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement; Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes self available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products, and services; Continually works to improve supervisory skills. Quality Management--Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Continually required to stand. Continually required to walk. Occasionally required to sit. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Continually required to talk or hear. Continually utilize visual acuity to use a keyboard. Continually required to lift/push/carry up to 100 pounds. Continually exposed to humid conditions (non-weather). Continually work in high, precarious places. Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. Full-time. Store Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5:30 PM, Saturday 8 AM-3 PM. Require working Saturdays. Hourly wage and commission. Dental, Health, & Vision Insurance. Short & Long Term Disability Insurance.
