Details Work in the Interventional Radiology (IR) unit of a hospital setting Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00–18:30, with a Sat/Sun/Mon or Fri/Sat/Sun rotation Every other weekend coverage required Overnight call rotation required Average daily census of 5–6 patients per room with a 1:6 staffing ratio Floating required within the IR unit Epic EMR experience required Preferred experience with infants and pediatric patients Requirements Active Louisiana (LA) or Compact RN license currently in hand Current AHA certifications required: ACLS and BLS Preferred certifications: CPI, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS Circulator experience required Conscious sedation experience required Telemetry experience required Proficiency in Epic EMR required Preferred: Level 1 trauma experience, scrub experience, Neuro IR experience, and ICU/ED/Tele Step Down experience Candidate must be able to work independently and manage full caseload without a ramp-up period Additional Information First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted Works alongside IR attendings, IR fellows, and radiology residents, with a resident in-house 24/7 Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign staff to an emergency response team, requiring the nurse to remain on-site until after an emergency event passes or to serve as part of a relief team RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) American Traveler Job ID #P-688448.
