Assembly Technician III / Solder Assembler III Location: West Boylston, MA Pay Rate:$20 - $22 Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring an experienced Assembly Technician III / Solder Assembler III to join a highly specialized electro-mechanical manufacturing team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with advanced soldering skills and electro-mechanical assembly experience, particularly in medical device or high-reliability environments. Key Responsibilities: Assembly & Soldering: Assemble complex subassemblies and final units following engineering drawings and specifications. Perform advanced soldering techniques including SMT, through-hole, and fine-pitch soldering. Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to ensure assembly accuracy. Install components, route cables, and complete chassis, panel, and system builds. Testing & Quality Control: Conduct electrical safety tests, final calibrations, and functional inspections. Inspect assemblies for compliance using magnifiers or microscopes. Document and report non-conformances and ensure traceability of all components. Process Documentation & Improvement: Complete Device History Records (DHRs), work orders, and quality documents. Participate in process improvement discussions and provide feedback for product enhancements. Team Collaboration: Mentor and train junior technicians in assembly and soldering procedures. Collaborate with engineering and production teams on product launches and troubleshooting efforts. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on electro-mechanical assembly and soldering in a regulated environment; medical device industry experience is a plus. Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints. Familiarity with ESD-safe practices and cleanroom assembly procedures. Strong manual dexterity and attention to fine details. Ability to use hand tools, torque drivers, and perform epoxy applications. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform precision work with small components. Stand or sit for long durations in a clean, light industrial production environment. Exposure to moderate machinery noise, and occasional office or warehouse tasks.
