Material HandlerJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Material Handler, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and material management processes. You will work primarily on the 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., transitioning to 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. starting April 13th.Responsibilities Pick parts and deliver them to the job station. Conduct materials research to meet production and material team needs. Perform material management functions including cycle counts, reviews, adjustments, replenishments, and investigations. Assist with shipping and receiving operations, supporting both inbound and outbound materials. Learn business system software quickly for effective handling of receiving, floor stock, and requisitions. Maintain accurate inventory management with exceptional attention to detail. Support process improvement initiatives and LEAN manufacturing changes. Communicate effectively with team members about problems, obstacles, issues, and information needs. Assist with general office and shop work, including 5S, as needed. Safely operate material handling equipment and participate in team meetings and technical training classes. Work effectively as a member of a small team of material handling technicians and a larger group of engineers, production technicians, and office professionals. Submit accurate, timely reports as required. Perform duties in compliance with all company safety policies. Demonstrate flexibility to occasionally work outside normal work hours/weekends or in other company departments when needed. Essential Skills Experience in material handling and inventory management. Ability to pick orders and check inventory accurately. Experience with moving parts and operating forklifts. Proficiency in packing, production, and using RF scanners. Working knowledge of computers, including MS Office and JobBOSS. Experience in inventory or warehouse settings. Employees will frequently encounter moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
