Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob Description Join a well-established company specializing in the production and distribution of kitty litter to major grocery stores and retailers. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that products are efficiently handled and stored in our warehouse facility. Responsibilities Retrieve packaged products from the packaging department wrapper area for loading onto outbound trailers or warehouse racks. Unload inbound products and raw materials from trailers for outbound transport or storage. Perform daily pre and post-shift operational inspections on the assigned forklift. Inspect trailers and product pallets prior to loading. Conduct product inventory, bin consolidation, and case picking. Meet efficiency targets based on operator level. Operate forklifts and safely load/unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to shipping instructions. Move finished products from the production line to the correct warehouse location. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Pick and pull products from racks using an RF scanner, hand wrap, label, and stage them appropriately. Maintain a clean and safe production environment, including sanitation and cleaning. Regularly lift items up to 55 pounds. Essential Skills 1-2 years of warehouse/forklift operating experience, specifically sit-down forklifts. Proficiency in using RF Scanner and SAP/WMS via iPad. Strong focus on safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with material handling, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, packing, and unloading. Work Environment The work environment is a warehouse facility connected to the production plant. Due to the nature of kitty litter production, the atmosphere can be dusty. This position is a contract role with the potential for extension beyond 6 months and includes .50 cent raises. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of King William, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.65 - $26.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
