Job Title: Material Handler Job DescriptionThe Material Handler and Inventory Control (IC) Clerk collaborates with Production Planning, Manufacturing departments, and the Purchasing Manager to oversee the receipt, auditing, distribution, organization, and inventory of materials that are received, fabricated, packaged, stored, and shipped. This role operates on a shift from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, with mandatory overtime.Responsibilities Conduct daily cycle counts using established procedures. Support resolution processes for inventory errors and discrepancies. Perform inventory data entry. Maintain warehouse and storage area part location integrity. Ensure all boxes, crates, and pallets are labeled with part numbers and current quantities. Monitor all inventory movements throughout the facility. Support all departments with material handling and inventory control. Communicate with staff about part delivery to specific areas. Move non-conforming parts to the MRB quarantine area. Dispose of scrap weekly after MRB disposition is determined. Operate equipment such as forklifts, booms, clamps, elevating platforms, or trailers to move products, equipment, or materials. Move levers and press pedals to drive trucks and control lifting apparatus. Load, unload, and stack materials. Weigh materials or products and record weights on tags, labels, or production schedules. Lubricate trucks, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace liquefied gas tanks. Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws. Constantly update job knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in forklift operation. Experience in material handling, inventory control, and logistics. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to conduct cycle counts and data entry. Experience in inventory management and using pallet jacks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Well-organized with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines. Employees should dress warmly in the winter and wear cooler clothes in the summer. This environment may not be suitable for individuals accustomed to semiconductor or clean room settings.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of FOREST GROVE, OR.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
