Adecco is currently assisting a local Customer in their search for Assembler positions in Columbus, OH. Responsibilities: • Cuts steel to size (within + or - .002) • Assembles transformers and stacks laminated steel to form cores • Completes transformer assembly by inserting coils, finishing stacking, and following work instructions • Operates tools and machinery including Transformer Test Equipment, Ratchet Gun, Strip Cutting Machines, Air Tools, Band Saw, Hand Tools, Belt Sander, Hoist, Shears • Follows all company policies including safety, attendance, and break procedures • Performs all other duties as assigned and works overtime when warranted Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in a similar position • Safety conscious with excellent mechanical ability and basic electronics knowledge • Ability to read and write in English, communicate effectively with coworkers, and lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to read and use measuring devices: Rule in tenths/hundredths of an inch Rule in fractional increments Micrometer to thousandths of an inch Calipers to thousandths of an inch • Able to read work instructions and specification sheets and apply them to specific work types Perks: • Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm; daily/Saturday overtime as production demands • Weekly paycheck • Pay: $20.23 - $21.53 • Access to Adecco's Aspire Academy with thousands of free upskilling courses This role is being recruited for by one of our Centralized Delivery Team and not your local Branch.
