Progressive Care Unit Patient Population: CABG, TAVR/AVR Cardiac Valve Replacements, LVAD, Cardiac, Insulin and Heparin Drips, ENT Surgical Oncology Patients - Including Tracheostomies, Laryngectomies, Peg Tubes, Free Flaps, Internal Dopplers Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 Number of Beds: 42 beds Department Specifics: 92% BSN rate, 24% certification rate, 2023 AACN GOLD Beacon Award Winners the only PCU in Baylor System and 1 of 15 PCU in Texas to receive this award. Registered Nurse Requirements Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program 1 YEAR OF PCU/ICU EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED License/Certification RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
