Accounting Manager Location: Hybrid – Aurora, CO Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 Overview for Accounting Manager: Our client is seeking a technically strong Accounting Manager to support a complex, project-based accounting environment. This role will play a key part in the financial reporting process, revenue recognition, and operational accounting, with exposure to leadership and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities of Accounting Manager: Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and internal reporting packages Oversee application of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), including contract-based and milestone-driven revenue Manage and analyze project/study-level financials, ensuring proper alignment of revenue and expenses Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue timing across multiple active studies Support and lead aspects of the external audit process, including preparation of schedules and technical accounting documentation Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes to support scalability Provide guidance and mentorship to staff and review team output Contribute to systems and process improvements, including ERP optimization Qualifications for Accounting Manager: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA (active or in-progress) strongly preferred Public accounting background required 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience Proven ownership of the close process and financial reporting Experience working with external auditors What They’re Looking For A technically strong accountant who can interpret and apply accounting guidance Someone comfortable in a multi-entity, project-based environment Strong communication and business partnering skills A professional motivated to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time Why This Opportunity Exposure to a technical, revenue-driven accounting environment Hybrid flexibility in the Aurora area High visibility with leadership and cross-functional teams Mission-driven organization supporting clinical research Opportunity for continued growth and expanded scope #INMAR2026 #LI-CC2
