Description: Tanker - Assembly No HS Diploma RequiredHours: 1st shift: 5am - 1pm. If working OT hours will be 5am - 3pm Pay: #####/hr. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Tank substation and three-phase pad-mounted transformers, making all necessary connections to bushings, switches, etc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Locates and moves tanks, parts, and covers to assembly area. • Assembles bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified. • Mounts core and coil in tank and bolts in place. Clamps cover in place and makes all electrical connections to bushings. Mounts tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters. Mechanically verifies the operation of all switches. • Locates and assembles all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure-vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc. to the tank as specified. • Checks all lead clearances inside unit and assembles needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required. • Performs resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers. • VFI, Load break switches. • Build CT's, PT's. • Build fuse racks. • Read blueprints and schematics. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to meet the physical lifting demands (up to 50 lbs.) • The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • One (1) or more years electrical experience • Education in AC/DC fundamentals
