After completing training, your earnings will transition to component pay based on the miles driven, cases delivered, and stops made, with hourly payment for any downtime. Explore local and layover route options (routes are chosen based on driver tenure). Receive pre-picked customer orders on plastic pallets for smooth unloading. Utilize features like liftgates and powered pallet jacks on all route trailers for ease in operations. Benefit from assigned tractors and route trailers based on driver tenure. Standard delivery routes commence between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Enjoy flexibility with four- and five-day schedules that include consecutive days off. Take advantage of 5th and 6th days of work, with additional paid incentives available. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and fulfill all other required tasks. Physical Demands Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items ranging from 20-80+ lbs throughout each shift. Comfortable driving and performing tasks in various weather conditions with frequent stops (over 10 per shift). Requirements Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Must be at least 21 years old. Possess a valid CDL Class A issued by your state of residence, along with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. Have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (one year in the foodservice industry is preferred). Ability to operate a manual transmission is preferred; may be mandatory in some locations. Strong communication skills in English, capable of understanding traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and reporting accurately. Compensation is influenced by relevant experience, education, specific skills, functions, geographic location, and other legal considerations. The starting training base rate for this position is $33.43 per hour. Following the training period, drivers will receive component pay based on mileage, cases, and stops, along with hourly payments for downtime where applicable.
